What do you long for?
This can be an exciting and scary question for many of us, and it’s one I’m passionate about helping people explore.
My own journey has involved finding a path beyond family dysfunction and cultural conditioning, learning to trust my inner knowing and honour my needs. This has transformed how I relate to myself and others. It hasn’t always been easy and is an on-going process! I really get how discovering what’s needed for intimacy and connection, and then acting on it, can be daunting. It often means stepping out of one’s comfort zone, and calls for gentleness, patience and support, which is what I offer you.
I’ve had deeply fulfilling sexual connection in my life, but also times of significant challenge, including being in a virtually sexless relationship for some years, and going through menopause. I’ve found ways to come back to my body, and recognise that our sexual natures are constantly changing. What felt right ten years ago, last month, or even yesterday, may not feel right today. I support clients so that instead of being constrained by what they think they should want or feel, they’re free to discover what actually brings them pleasure now.
As well as being a Certified Somatica® Sex and Relationship Coach, I’m a graduate of, and have assisted on, Jan Day’s 18-month Living Tantra training. This has enriched my understanding of sexuality, embodied intimacy and authentic relating. I’ve trained in the Wheel of Consent, Platonic Touch, Nervous System Co-regulation, and Cuddle Facilitation — all of which inform how I guide people in exploring touch, boundaries, and connection safely and consensually. As a certified yoga teacher, I specialised in yoga for menstrual cycle awareness and menopause, inviting people to tune in to their bodies’ needs and rhythms, and am skilled in working with cycles and transitions.
My first career was in theatre, and I facilitated many, many, workshops focusing on empowerment, finding voice, and increasing confidence, often working with marginalised groups. This included forum theatre projects exploring sex and relationships with young people, as well as training professionals in how to engage with these topics with sensitivity and openness. I also taught communication skills to medical students, helping future doctors develop empathy and presence.
I continue to grow, learn and develop my own relationship with pleasure.
Decades of personal therapy, including Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems and grief work, inform how I coach, and support me in holding space with creativity and care. I love to dance and have practised 5Rythms and other forms of conscious movement for over twenty-five years. Being in nature, and especially being in the sea, is a source of joy and nourishment too. Making room for pleasure amidst the busy-ness of life often means making a commitment, which is sometimes easier than others! I recognise the challenges and bring understanding and encouragement to those I work with.
